Q: Giving birth at 36 weeks

I can get contractions very easily so I was just wondering if anyone had their baby around 36 weeks and how healthy the baby was at birth. She is a little on the small side according to ultrasounds

My best friend had her baby at 36 weeks, her baby girl weighed 5lbs and besides having to spend a week in the NICU for her breathing she is now a very smart and healthy 2 year old! :) good luck Amarylis!

Thanks. :) I don't want to try to induce labor but I need to walk places and do somethings. So now I won't worry about getting what I need to do done if it makes me go into labor.

Amarylis: I've been reading through birth announcements on different websites, and those born at 36 weeks seem to all do great. A few seem to need a couple days in NICU just to make sure lungs are all set, but they seem to give you a steroid before 37 weeks to give the lungs the extra bump they need. Many seemed to need nothing!
