Q: Do you always lose your mucous plug before labour?

Just curious as to whether everyone loses their mucous plug right before labour begins? Or is it possible to go into labour and not lose it?

it varies from person to person just like everything else in pregnancy. With my first I lost my plug and started labor an hour after, With my second however I lost my plug at 30 weeks was told that it can reform ( which it did) and I then lost my mucus plug a second time at 41 weeks and gave birth a week later. with this one I lost my plug at 29 weeks and have come to find out that it has done the same thing as it did with my second child it's reformed itself. hope this was helpful.
