My friend spent the last 2 months of her pregnancy dilated to 4 cm and her baby didn't come early it was 2 days late by her due date. Depending on how they are estimating the size, if they use only two measurements then it is hugely inaccurate while using 3 measurements is much better but is still off by up to a pound. They told me at 38 weeks that baby was 7.5 lbs but two weeks later he was born at 7.5 so they guessed larger than he was. Most of my friends have had similar experiences. A must were told baby wad bigger than they actually were. Good luck!

I have had 3 children (4th due in dec) I have had them all a little early. My first born at 38 weeks , 2nd at 37 weeks and last one at 36 weeks.. I dilated early every time. The last one I was 3 cm for 2 weeks then went to 5 cm for another 2 weeks. Never know how long it could be til the baby is born.. It could be a couple days or couple weeks. Good luck to you.

My son measured 2-3 weeks big during my whole pregnancy with him and he was 8 lbs 8 ozs but my daughter measured small for a majority of my pregnancy with her and she was still 7 lbs so I wouldnt worry about it too much.

All 3 of my pregnancies I have measured 1 to 2 weeks ahead. My first was was 7lbs 10oz. 201/2 inches. Second was 8 even, 21 inches, so I wouldn't worry about it to much. With this one I had an ultrasound at 24 weeks and all her measurements were coming in at 26 weeks. They put her in the 98% tile, so this one does scare me alittle. As far as being dilated to 2 it could or could not mean something. With my first I was dilated at 2 since 36 weeks and she was still 9 days late, You just never know. Good luck to you, your getting so close, very exciting.
