Q: Anyone get pregnant just a few months after giving birth? Where you freaked out? Scared?

It's possible I might be pregnant again just after giving birth 4 months ago. I am breast feeding and on low dose BC but I woke today with "that feeling". I had a cesarean in January and I'm worried I will have complications getting pregnant so soon after. Thoughts?

Thank goodness. I took the test and it was negative. Now I am just paranoid all the time though, lol.

Hey recommend more time between pregnancies ad we all know, the ideal fro studies being 15-18months from one birth to next pregnancy and closer to 2yrs if it was a caesarian birth, since you have to heal the regular pregnancy stuff plus a surgery. If you are pregnant you are at a much higher risk since it has been less than six months since you gave birth and studies show that unfortunately. That said there are women who have healthy pregnancies and births despite the odds. But you need to find out quick and up that calorie intake and take those vitamins, breastfeeding is draining and so is pregnancy, doing both makes food intake beyond important. Itou are pregnant you need to get to a knowledgeable doctor right away, and don't let them bully you into stopping breastfeeding early just because you are pregnant (if you are). Read the research and make your own decision, there is a good site called kellymom that is great and has info on tandeem feeding and bfing while pregnant. Good luck!

I haven't been able to take the test yet. My husband is bringing me home a test after work. I would only be 3 or 4 weeks along at this point...but if I was preggo and had the baby he/she would have almost exactly the same birthday as my current daughter =/ May 19th last year was when I found out I was pregnant with my first.

oh hun I could understand why you are scared I am 22 weeks and my husband was just sent to Korea for a year when I was 17 weeks. We are hoping and praying that we will be sent home in time for 30 days for the birth of our son but there are no guarantees and even one he is here he will have to be sent back to Korea for the remaining almost 7 months after a few weeks so I will be all on my own with no family and no friends around to help me. I just moved from WA to CO in March. While it is scary.. there are support groups and help here if needed. Still keeping fingers crossed though that the pregnancy continues to be healthy and normal as.. I seriously have no help here. When will you know for sure? have you tested yet??

Maybe see if there's a support group near by that you could join. I get your concerns about your husband. My brother is in the army and has been deployed 5 times, his wife is scared to death to have one because she's afraid she'll be alone. I wish you all best best and I'm sure you'll do great!

Main reason I am so concerned is my husband is currently active in the US Marine Corps. His job is very demanding and he can't just take time off and it's always possible he could deploy at any time. I live in Florida and all my family lives in California. I am just concerned I will be stuck alone pregnant and with a young baby.

My first was only 4 months when I got pregnant with my 2nd. I wasn't really scared, but i was alittle worried about how I was going to handle a newborn when my first was so little, but my husband was a great help and I have alot of family who were very supportive. I was told to make sure I ate healhly because my body would need the extra nutrients because there was a greater chance that the baby would be born early and have a lower birth weight. Well she was 10 days late (had to be induced. she still wasn't coming) and weighed 7 more ounces and was a 1/2 inch longer them my first. They are now 14 and 13 and people still ask if I wish I could go back and have them further apart and my answer is always no, it worked out so great. They always had someone to play with and they are best friends, they do everything together. Just try to relax and enjoy the time you have with your baby. Good luck to you!!

I got pregnant just a month after having my son. I was extreamly scared, nervous and all kinds of emotions. I didnt really have any symptoms and i found it hard to believe i was actually pregnant (besides the positive tests)
unfortunately at 10 weeks i had a miscarriage. I needed a blood transfusion, and a D&C. it was awful. I was very upset because by that time i had accepted the pregnancy and was starting to get excited. The doctors assured me that the baby would not have been healthy because my body simply did not have enough nutrients that soon after birth to give to the fetus.

That being said, there are alot of women who have 2 healthy children in 1 year. and getting pregnant 4 months after birth is better then 1 month.

google "irish twins" you can read some cute stories and maybe get some peace of mind

Best of luck to you, i hope i didnt make you feel worse !
