Q: When can you ask to get a stretch and sweep??

im just wondering im going to be 38+4 my next appointment is it possible to ask for a stretch and sweep? or will the midwife look at me funny. Does this hurt and how is it preformed? i really wanna get labour started ive heard this can help on some people anyone had this does and there experiences??

I'm bOoked in for a sweep on Thursday which is the day before my due date. I didn't get a choice to do it sooner but it can't hurt to ask???? It's supposed to be uncomfortable but at this stage im in agony anyway so if it'll get things moving in going for it! Good luck!
