I went through the same thing last year with my first pregnancy, I choose to do a d&c because it would decrease the waiting time to try again, and seemed less emotionally straining, I couldn't imagine just waiting for me to bleed. The d&c was no physical pain for me, just the emotional pain of lossing my first baby. I'm extremely sorry you have to go through this, no one ever should. I wish you a speedy recovery from either choice you choose. I pray that you can get through the emotional part and eventually heal enough to try again!

So sorry for your loss! I also just went through the same thing. I waited 2 weeks with just some spotting here and there and my doctor wouldn't let me go past 2 weeks. I had also been on progesterone too. By 2 weeks though I was emotionally ready to move on and went through with the D&C last week. Honestly, the worst part about the D&C was all in my head with my emotions. The physical healing has been nothing. Feel free to message me if you want any more info or need someone to talk to! Making that decision is so hard and going through this process hurts so much on your emotions!

i am faced with the same question. i went for a scan last week. I should have been 7w5d and baby measured 6w1d and no hb. i have a follow up scan tomorrow and if the results the the unfortunate results i am fearing, then my husband and I decided we want a d & c. i can't bare the thought of waiting any longer. I've had some cramps, but no bleeding. We decided on d & c because i just feel that it's the safest method. it ensures that everything is out and there is no delay. the recovery time from my understanding isn't too bad and you can start trying again after 2 cycles.

Good luck. it's a very difficult dicision to make and accept. God only puts things in front of us that he thinks we can handle.

Was the scan done vaginally? If not, try to get one done. When I had my missed MC I started bleeding lightly/spotting for 12 days then I went for a vaginally scan and after 2 days the bleeding started for real. Also when I've had early MC and spotted for several days when I've gone and had a vaginally done scan it has only taken 2 days for the MC to start for real. (the vaginally scans was mostly for checking so it wasn't an ectopic pregnancy, so they did quite a lot of poking around, which I think helped my body to understand that there was no baby).

Sending you lots of strength and wish you the best! Good luck!

I'm sorry for your loss.
With my two missed miscarriages, I didn't wait for the bleeding to start, I didn't want to. I have gotten tablets that you have to take intravaginally, which brings on the bleeding. I lost the baby both times within a couple of hours after taking the tablets. The last time however, I still had to undergo a D&C.
The D&C was not as bad as I thought, it wasn't painful and recovery was quick.

You should do what you prefer, unless of course there should be a risk for infection or something.
I wish you lots of strength, and again, so sorry for your loss...

The first time for me, I started bleeding at exactly 10 weeks - but when I had a scan it showed that I was 6 weeks and 4 days.

The second time, I went for a private scan at 7 weeks and 1 day and was told that there was nothing there... I started bleeding 2 weeks later.

I am truly, very sorry for your loss. Stay strong... x

i remeber seeing a post simular to this a on a facebook group i am in and for her it took about 2 weeks she was told not to leave it any longer then that your best would probley be to go to your local A&E or see your GP as soon as possible to be on the safe side. if you've had no bleeding or cramping it might just be a small baby. i have no idea how the growth works as i'm only pregnant with my first.
