Im sure the dates are just a wee bit out, It really depends on how long it takes for it to travel down the fallopian tube and implant, It can be between 6 and 12 days I think so one week to be out on a scan is ok. I did have a bad experience with a scan measuring early. It was impossible for the dates they had given me and I had a really bad feeling. I thought I was 8 weeks and they said just over 6 I think. Every scan went further back but a great wee heart beat. She died at 16wks 2 days (their dates) 18 weeks my dates. She had Edwards syndrome and that was the reason for her small growth. That kind of thing is very rare though. I am sure its just the dates out a wee bit x

I am hoping we just conceived later. tomorrow is the moment of truth. We will know for sure if the baby has grown and if we see a heartbeat. My pregnancy symptoms have subsided, but I still have some. my husband and I are hopeful, but prepared for the worst, so keep sending prayers.

Hi I have two stories for you one bad but not like yours and one good that is like yours! Last year I had a 9 week scan and no hb and baby mesured 5+4 and unfortunately was not progressing but now this time I went for a scan at 7 weeks and pregnany mesured 6+1 and no hb! Went back 2 weeks later and it mesured 8+1 with a hb then went back at 10+4 and hb and moving so my dates were nearly a week wrong and I read at 6 you should see hb but that's not true I didn't even see a baby just a yolk sac and gest sac! So try not to worry all can still be fine! Hope you have another scan ! X

If I have learned anything from this entire ttc journey, it's that no one follows a particular set of rules. It's ridiculous to think we all have 28 day cycles and we all ovulate at the same cd every month. Every woman is different and you can't say at 6 weeks all babies will show a hb on an ultrasound. It's insane (getting off my soapbox now).

You probably conceived later or your little guy is just a slow starter. Try to relax and think positive thoughts.

Thanks ladies... I am extremely worried and sad still. I know there is thought we can do till next week. Working with a fertility clinic means dates are pretty accurate, but there is always a possibility it could be wrong.

stick vibes please. thanks for the advice

dont worry.. you might have conceived later than you think. so if baby is measuring 6 weeks 1 day it is normal to have no HB.....good luck! it happened with one of my twins as well.
