My question is concerning a Vaginal Birth After Cesaerean (VBAC). 14 months ago my son was delivered by elective c-sec, and I have to say I hated it. Yes it was easier, I never had any pain etc, but emotionally I felt terribly detached from my baby and battled to breastfeed, feeling like I just kept failing one thing after the other with him.
I desperately wanted to have a vaginal birth, and I just want to know if there is any hope for me now for having one.
My mother had 4 cesears, all close together and never had any complications or problems, and my grandmother had 1 c-secs and 5 vaginal births after that, all in the space of 7 years.
Is there any one here who has been through this and can tell me what its like to have a VBAC and if its really all its cut out to be. I feel like I am missing out on something I was made to do...
Thank you, and a healthy happy 9 months to you all! xx
