Q: 37wks Crevix is "Low and Open"

So i had my 37w check-up today and I am 1cm dialated but instead of telling me a percentage for effacement like i'm used to she simply told me my cervix was "low and open" and that she could feel her head. My question is what exactly does "low and open" mean in terms of effacement , generally speaking of course.

effacement means the cervix is thinning out, so you may not be effaced just yet,... low is a good sign,, im 36 weeks and was told my cervix is still very high.... your body is certainly getting ready for labor.. by the sounds of it you will be having a baby soon! congratulations!
