Q: question about miscarriage...

Since this is my first "threatened miscarriage" I'm hoping someone can help me. The bleeding stopped. I haven't bled since almost a full 24 hours. Does that mean I'm out of the woods? Or is there like a...calm before the storm kind of thing? Thanks to anyone who replies. I feel lost.

i don't want to scare you, but i was diagnosed with a m/c a year ago. after the confirmation appt with the ob, i stopped bleeding for 2 months. so i had a lot of hope. turns out the babies were still there, but not alive. i finally started bleeding, and it lasted for 60 days before i finally passed something. it was horrible. so to answer your question, you can have a break in the bleeding, and still m/c. but i would definitely call the doc with any questions or concerns. there are stories of women bleeding (with clots, even), that go on to have healthy babies. praying for you!

try not to scare yourself too much. at 11 weeks this happened to me and clots included. sometimes there are reasons why and others its unexplained. I seriously thought i had lost my baby and was miscarrying. i bled for days. then after that again and heavier. they told me i was probably miscarrying and to stay on bed rest. the days leading up to the scan felt like years. when i saw the movements i was so relieved!!! i am now 32 weeks!!
i did miscarry 4 yrs ago with very little bleeding and no pain. at that time in my life the only thing anyone said that helped me through was that it was natures way of taking away something that wasnt perfect. goodluck hun xx

Hi, how far along are you? was in the same boat in October..it started out as spotting a day before and cramping with back pain, i visited the doc and confirmed that i was having a threatened miscarriage. but on the way home from the hospital i had severe cramping and eventually passed out the sack itself and lots of clots. But i am pregnant again now so if this happens to you dont give up hope. Good luck!

I went through this too and I am so sorry to say that it ended in miscarriage. I was told everything was fine because my cervix was still closed but when they did a blood test to check my beta my hcg was only at 22 which was proof I was miscarrying. This was this past september but I am pregnant again and hope this one sticks. Please call your doctor and get them to do a blood test and check your cervix. Some women have had healthy pregnancies with spotting even clots. God bless.
