Q: Am I Pregnant?

My husband and I are trying to conceive. One week before my period was excepted, (12dpo), I started spotting brown and the next day it was dark red and heavy, stringy, with tissue (?). This lasted about 4 days, and seemed very different than my normal period. Within that time I took a couple pregnancy tests which a very faint "pregnant" line appeared then quickly disappeared about 30 mins later. It's now a week later and I haven't gotten my period but I have a very painful back ache but no cramps otherwise. Did I get my period early, or could this have been a miscarriage? If it was a miscarriage should I be expecting my period this week still?

Any info will be helpful, Thanks!

HCG all the way, only way to know for sure ask your doctor for a blood test.

Try a digital pregnancy test, I find they cause less confusion. As for the miscarriage, no idea. I hope it all works out for you.
