Q: been for an early scan ....

Hi all I posted the other day about how scared I was so just thought I wouold update you all with the results of my early scan. There is a single intrauterine gestation sac containing a single fetal pole and yolk sac. A fetal heartbeat was seen. According to my Lmp i should be 6+4 but Ega was approx 5 weeks.
They did how ever find a small cyst of my left ovary whuch they said could explain left sided pain but said that could be due to ovulation and they will just monitor it and to try not to worry. I am obviously really pleased to have seen heart beat but cant stop worrying feel so irrational but last time I had a mmc had scan at 11+4 and was told nio heartbeat and was measuring 7 weeks so dont know how I am going to manage till 12 week scan. I want to be so happy to have seen heart beat etc but I cant I am worried if I get to excited I am setting myself up for a fall. A good heart beat this early must be good right ?? Sorry folks feel so helpless and silly. :-(

I have had 6 m/c and was totally stressed every time. The anxiety does not go away! I am currently 20weeks pregnant and still constantly worried, the only advice i can offer you is to try to think positive and stop googling the horror stories!!

Do not feel silly. This is my first pregnancy, we had been TTC for 10 months, so i naturally spent 10 months on forums and stupidly read "the sad stories" and now at 8 weeks i am constantly playing mind games with myself and stressing at every twinge. I had brown discharge last week and was sent for a scan, sure enough all was fine and i saw the heart beat...then this week i had spotting, went for another scan and baby had grown tremendous in a week! The thing is, if it a healthy baby nothing will shift it, its there to stay. If the pregnancy is unhealthy then you lose it, which is best anyway! What I am trying to say is that you are not being silly, you are just being a mother. Enjoy every day of your pregnancy, and I hope everything goes smoothly and the hospital is always there if you have any questions or queries, nothing is too silly for them !
