Q: Am I miscarrying?

7w 2d since my lmp and 3w 2d since I missed my period, after 14 days I did a pregnancy test which was on the 30th of march the result was positive but then later on that night I started bleeding it was a brown colour, on the 31st in turned into a dark red so I went to the hospital the did a pregnancy test which confided I was pregnant they had a feel of my stomach an said they think I'd had a miscarriage and asked me to go back on the 3rd of April for bloods and ultra sound so I did, the ultra sound picked up a pregnancy sack but it was only 5mm so it wAs to small to see what was going on, my blood test showed that my hcg level was only 10 and they've asked me to go back on the 10th of April to more blood test and another scan, but now I have stopped bleeding and as far as I'm aware the sack hasn't come away..... Anyone had the same thing and can help me out?

This unfortunately sounds similar to my last miscarriage. I bled brown and pink, then it stopped for a few days, and returned bright red, stopped again and we saw a heartbeat, but measured 4 days behind, then lost it the next week.

Keep your chin up, though. 25% of pregnancies experience bleeding and most go on normally.

Thank you for the response, the bleeding was just like a period just less blood but lasted the same length of time as a period would :/ I'm really confused! I'm just hoping for the best as me and my partner have been trying for quite a while now and as soon as it happened this happens :( just carnt wait for tomorrow now

Oh honey, hugs! Sadly, I and many others know how you are feeling right now so please know that you are not alone. I hate saying this but at the same time I don't want you to think that nobody cares to answer your question but in my opinion 10 is a really low HCG number for 3 weeks, 2 weeks or even 1 week after a missed period. You will not see the sac at this time whether you pass is or not. This early in a pregnancy you body would most likely absorb it. Mine did when I had an early m/c. I hope I'm wrong and that perhaps your cycle was just off a bit but if it does happen that you had a miscarriage just know that you aren't alone through this and that unfortunately it's quite common and doesn't mean it will happen again. Hang in there hon!
