Q: Early Ultrasound Issues

Hi, I had an ultrasound done yesterday after bleeding and found that the sack was intact but was empty. But I don't understand that if I have misscarried why the sack is intact. Could it be too early to see anything as according to my last period I should be 7 weeks but implantation only happened 4 weeks ago which technically makes the baby 4 weeks in size. A week ago my pregnancy symptoms went away and the light bleeding started the following day but 4 days ago my symptoms have come back only stronger than they were before - has anyone experienced this before because the hospital couldn't shed any light on this and has advised that I have probably had a miscarriage but the bleeding has all but stopped, I have a repeat scan in 2 weeks to confirm the miscarriage but I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and could possibly shed some light as to what is actually happening. Thank you all in advance

I agree about possibly being earlier than 7 weeks. I was 6 weeks when we feared an ectopic pregnancy and had to have an early ultrasound. All that was there was the sac and nothing else. A week and a half later I went back and there was a baby with a heartbeat and everything. Good luck!

Like pp said hopefully you are just alot earlier than 1st thought.
Dont want to scare you but i had a blighted ovum where basically everything forms but the baby and your body still thinks its pregnant so the sac and everything grows but baby doesnt its unusual to bleed with them though and normally you find out with your 1st scan (round 12 weeks here i. U.k unless your high risk or anything) but i bled and lost mine at 10 weeks.
I hope this isnt thecase for you but thats a possible reason as to why the sac is still there xx

Maybe you are earlier than 7 weeks. At 7 weeks, you would be able to see the baby, so maybe your dates are off. Bleeding is very common in the 1st trimester, I had it with my DS until 13 weeks. Hoping you will see a baby the next time you go in.
