Q: Is this normal at 8wks?

I am 8wks today and started to have a light brown discharge. My lower back has been sore also. Is this normal? It has been along time since I have made it this far in a pregnancy. We have been trying for a third baby for 5 years. I have miscarried 2 times and am worrying everyday. Sorry if TMI.

I had brown spotting at 7 weeks. It ended up being cervical bleeding from intercourse. Your cervix becomes super sensitive during pregnancy and a number of things can cause it to bleed. Brown blood means old blood from some where. I would try to relax and call your ob in the morning.

It can be normal but it can also mean something's not right. I'd call your dr and hopefully they'll see you and be able to tell where it's coming from. Good luck!
