LOL my husband wanted to do the same thing. He drag races and was dead set on going to a race 7 hours away. He was going to come to the appointment and then leave right after that as long as the dr didn't say I was in labor. The nurse took my blood pressue and it was normal then left us in the room. We had a little discussion about how I didn't think it was a good idea for him to go that far away because there was always a chance he could miss the birth. The dr ended up sending us to L&D for a NST because of the heartbeat being a little low. They hooked me up to the blood pressure machine there and my BP had skyrocketed to 197/115! They never could get it to come down so they had to induce... so I guess I won that argument. To this day.. I still think that it was the stress of thinking about being on my own when I go into labor that caused the high blood pressure.

No. My husband knows there will be no traveling after 36 weeks. That is not an unreasonable request.

Dont think so. My soon to be ex husband was near his cell while he was at work because he was afraid to miss the birth. With this one I think itll be the same story, at least I hope.

No chance, no trip is more important than being there at the birth of his child. I would not b happy if my partner went on a "trip" so close to baby's arrival

Heck no Hubby would be going on the trip. My hubby wouldn't even think about going on the trip in the first place.
