Breast pads. Your boobs are going to start leaking and you need something to absorb the leakage. Also make sure you have the carseat installed BEFORE you go there. They won't let you go out of the hospital without a properly installed carseat. Also, I don't know how's your baby, but you might want to bring 1 newborn and 1 larger ( 0-3 months) outfit, just in case you have an extra long baby :)

Warm fuzzy gripper socks (best for walking the halls) your own shampoo and conditioner (I hear the hospitals' are crappy), tucks wipes, I'm also bringing a few pairs of my fave black yoga pants for after delivery and a couple of zip-up hoodies to wear over nursing tanks. A small blanket to wrap the baby in and take home to any furry babies you may have so they can get familiar with his scent before you come home. This may sound silly of me, but I'm also bringing my blow dryer(I'm pretty sure the hospital won't have one!). I don't want to sit with drippy wet hair OR the rats nest I'd be left with if it were to air-dry! I'm going to start packing mine within the next few weeks!

dont forget baby book to put hand/footprints in!! Your own pads if you want (the ones the hospital gives sucks) wipes for you (much easier to use than toilet paper), hard candies to suck on while you're in labor, nice change from ice chips (can't eat red ones though as they can be confused with blood from what the nurses told me last time), your own pillow and blanket (like a tie blanket or something) Their pillows are awful! nursing bra's/tanks if your bf'ing. Something easy to wear that won't sit against your incision if you end up having a c-section. Slippers... and phone number for your favorite take out food incase you don't like hospital food. Wipes for baby... (the wipes we were given were these dry things that we had to get wet and they were just weird...) um, I'm sure that's not everything, but that's all I could think about for now. I'm an over packer. lol

Hemmaroid(sp?) cream & witch hazel pads!!! I learned the hard way after having my 2nd child & I had a bad case of the roids & the nurses didnt give me anything for the discomfort but they sure didnt mind poking my butt every morning to check it out.

CAMERA AND VIDEO CAM!!!! :) Also bring the chargers for each and or extra batteries. Also if there is anything you want to listen to while laboring. There is the obvious too which is the car seat and base. Pillow for dh, sometimes they dont have any, or blankets. Hmmmm, that seems like its covered.

The only things I ended up using is Depends those are way better than those hospital pads and my own sleepwear because I was BFing and those hospital gowns have horrid access to boobs. Some sugarless mints, favorite snacks and going home outfits for me and babe. I brought my own toiletries because my skin is sensitive and so I use a certain brand. Personally I don't wear make up so I don't own them to begin with. Hubby will be packing for himself since he knows what he will be needing to feel comfy. I do however packed them in a slightly bigger bag to I can bring back some baby items from the hospital in one bag.
