Q: Did I miscarry or can this be something else? Please help! (TMI)

Friday I had brown spotting and later that day it turned red. I had severe back pain today and I laid down the whole day. When I got up I saw really small blood clots and later in the evening I saw two big cloths but one was a bit hard and the other one just thick blood. I am 4 weeks that would have been too small for a embryo of 4 weeks almost 5. After I passed the cloths I almost have no pain anymore and when I wipe I just only see a lil red blood. Could it have been something that was just in the way? Because the big cloths that i passed weren't that big for a 4 week going on to 5 week embryo.

Thanks ladies! Your answers are much appreciated!

You still need to get checked out to masked sure the pregnancy wasn't ectopic and to make sure you don't have anything remaining so that when your ready to try again you've no barriers. I'm very sorry for your lose.

Thanks for answering. I think I miscarried this morning. A lot of cloths and test line is getting lighter.

Sounds like a very early miscarriage but you really need to go in if you haven't already. Hope that it was just unexplained bleeding.

You definitely need to get checked out by a dr. At 5 weeks, the embryo is about the size of a sesame seed, so you aren't going to be able to tell by sight if you miscarried. At 4-5 weeks a miscarriage would be more like a heavy period. The only way to confirm is by ultrasound & blood work to check your hormone levels. A lot of women have heavy bleeding in early pregnancy & go on to have healthy babies. Hopefully, that is your situation. Best of luck to you.
