Q: Has anyone gotten pregnant soon after an early miscarriage, before having a "normal" perio

I miscarried at 6 weeks on Nov 23. I am wanting to conceive again quickly (I feel ready.) but I don't know when to expect my cycle to be "normal." I am hoping I'm already pregnant again, but not sure when I should take a pregnancy test or to expect a period. Has anyone gotten pregnant after an early miscarriage before having a "normal" period?

I'm so sorry for your loss Eluria88. I understand the fears you have as well. Every time I go to the rest room I say a little prayer that I won't start bleeding (that's how I found out I miscarried in November: went to the potty & started bleeding very lightly, no cramping, no pain.) I also keep second guessing being pregnant this time because I haven't had any morning sickness! I should be feeling lucky though that I haven't. I can hardly wait til my first ultrasound January 20! You & I should be about due the same time! I will be saying a prayer for you today & sending sticky baby dust your way Eluria88! Post how your appt goes if you feel like sharing. :-)

I conceived in Early July 2013 (the 1st or 2nd), and went to my 10 week ultrasound on August 20th, only to find out that my baby had no heartbeat and only measured at 6.5 weeks in size. They asked if I wanted a D/C and I said no. I was mortified, shocked, terrified. I was just told my baby was dead and now they wanted to take it away from me! I opted to naturally miscarry and ended up doing so in a huge painfully bloody ordeal on September 8th. I didn't stop bleeding (about the amount of a normal-heavy period) until November 18th. The bleeding returned November 25 and I went in for an ultrasound. The doctor called and said I was having what looked like a "normal period" (normal?! after months of straight bleeding!?) so I brushed it off. I was planning on trying again in January. December 23rd, my period never showed up. I waited 5 days then took a HPT. Sure enough pregnant. I have an appointment tomorrow with the doctor and should be 5 weeks 4 days pregnant. IM SCARED!!!

I went for an HcG test the day after Christmas & it was 34. I went back the following Monday & it was up to 215. My progesterone level was 29.9 & the nurse said that was great. I am scheduled for my first ultrasound on January 20 to hear the heartbeat & see how far along I actually am. The nurse was figuring I will be about 7-8 weeks. :) Based on all that & my positive pregnancy tests I know that it is absolutely possible to get pregnant after an early miscarriage & before a period. I actually started an ovulation kit at the beginning of December & 16 days after my miscarriage (m/c Nov 23) it said I was highly fertile. I got that highly fertile reading for 6 days straight! (Then I was out of sticks!) So i think the baby making took place sometime around Dec 11 & implantation about Dec 18.
Sending sticky baby dust your way Cjsmamma! I hope you get your positive next week! I took one on Dec 21 & it was negative, but then took one Dec 25 & got p

Hello Monica! I had a miscarriage Aug. 16 of this year, I was supposed to be about 8 weeks. I bled for about 4 days after that and we were not â??carefulâ??. I didn't have another period in between, I took a test Sept. 27th, and it was positive! I will be 17 weeks tomorrow, and we find out the sex this Thursday! Our baby is always kicking away in there when we see him/her. My doctor didn't seem to have any concerns that I conceived so earlier after a mc. I did buy an at home Doppler to ease my mind in between appointments. Now, I am feeling little kicks! Good luck!!! :)
