If baby is fine and you aren't in danger why would your doctor need to induce on the 3rd? Tell him you'd like more time to go into labor on your own. In the meantime, keep doing what you're doing-continue having sex and walking and try stairs as well. I've heard hula hooping can do wonders to start labor but I can't for the life of me figure out where the hell a hula hoop goes when you're full term pregnant. If you can figure out how to do it let me know!

Try fresh pineapple but not the fruit you need to eat the core as it contains the same enzyme that is found in sperm which helps trigger labour. Also jasmine or clary sage essential oils are know to trigger contractions. Hope this helps xx

Foot massage...it worked for me and a few friends. Go for a pedicure and got a longer foot massage...some how the reflexology triggers something.

I wouldn't touch the castor oil unless you want a nasty case of a diarrhea & intestinal cramping! It sounds like baby simply isn't ready yet. A full term pregnancy can be up to 42 weeks, so maybe baby just needs a little extra time. Also, you can tell your dr that you do not want the 3rd if it isn't a good day for you. Have him push it back until after your son's birthday. You've tried most of my ideas to induce labor. Maybe try walking up/down stairs? Best wishes to you!

Caster oil? I've heard people drink that to try to induce labor. Get in the car and go ram a bunch of speed bumps at high speed. Lol. I know you've got to be miserable.
