Q: Hypnobabies, anyone?

I was just doing some research on natural childbirth and ways to achieve it and kept coming across HypBirth and Hypnobabies. After reading reviews I decided to order the Hypnobabies home study course. Has any CMP mommas tried it or taken the classes? I I figure at the very least it will give me a reason to sit down and relax these last 10 weeks and best-case scenario it will help me achieve an intervention-free birth (hopefully a fast one)!

I used Hypnobabies with my second baby and it was amazing. I was comfortable, calm, and did not feel "pain" just pressure. What I loved about Hypnobabies is that they use the power of words, which means that they use only positive words for birth and your birthing time. They have wonderful cues and techniques that instantly help you to create your own anesthesia and be comfortable. I can tell you that after trying a different hypnosis program for my first, which ended in unnecessary interventions and than doing Hypnobabies with my second, which I had a beautiful homebirth, I would only choose and reccomend Hypnobabies.

I used Hypnobabies two years ago and had an amazing birth experience. Hypnobabies allowed the best pain management through self hypnosis, and the opportunity to have an eye's open technique so I could move around. It was a calm, peaceful, positive, intervention-free birth. I will be using Hypnobabies again with our fourth child in a few weeks.

Im still very early and i do plan on having drugs but I did want to try the hypnosis thing to throw into the mix bc i hear it makes you more calm and the pain more bareable ( i have low pain tolorance and this is my first baby) I have anxiety (was on meds for it) and im sure this will help relieve the anxiety issues I will have. I would like to know more about it so I hope someone who has used it answers your question for both of us!! :)
