Q: fetal heart rates

I had my first ultrasound about 4 weeks ago, and when I went the technician got a heart rate of 153 and the midwife I saw after got a rate of over 160. On the ultra sound though it only showed one fetus. The midwife even thought it was strange but we shrugged it off, because the technician was really rude to me and the baby was active. But I got to thinking about it, in a matter of 30 minutes mostly sitting down for all of 5 minutes, could they have heard 2 different fetus' or just the one baby was over excited?

When I've been hooked up to fetal monitors, I've seen my daughters heart rate go from 170 to 150 in a matter of seconds. Just like us, their heart rates fluctuate from one rate to the next. Jumping from 153 to 160 is pretty normal.
