Q: Spotting at 7w4d

I got up this morning and when I wiped, there was a little bit of bright red blood. It happened three times (there when I wiped) and has since stopped.
I had blood work done on Sunday, the 12th. The Doctor said that my HCG beta number was "beautiful". They did another HCG Beta test today, but I have to wait 7-8 hrs for the results (it has to be sent to another hospital for the actual testing).

Has anyone ever went through spotting at 7w and everything was fine? They say its common for spotting throughout a pregnancy, but with my son & daughter I didn't spot- the only time I did was when I had my miscarriage in 2011. TIA

I had spotting with my first pregnancy which was at 12 weeks and it turned into a miscarriage I am pregnant now and have experienced no spotting that early in pregnancy only at 14 weeks due to a hematoma but most do experience spotting after sex and for some women it is normal to have spotting.

I did have some spotting around the same time, 7 weeks. Sometimes I would have it after a bm or sex. We actually took a few weeks off from sex because it scared me so much. I think it was definitely due to my cervix being extra sensitive. I got pregnant directly after a miscarriage, and scared myself when I saw the blood. You can always call your doctor and talk to them to reassure you. I am 20 weeks now and our baby is kicking away! I know it is hard, but try not to freak yourself out too much. I hope everything goes perfectly for you!

I never had spotting with my first 3 kids but with this one at 7 weeks I spotted off and on for 2-3 days. Mine was caused by having sex but since the cervix is still low and very sensitive at 7 weeks it can be caused by a number of things. When I called my Dr office they said so long as there is no cramping to not worry but if you are worried you could call just for reassurance. I hope everything is ok :)
