Q: Do antibiotics and fever cause miscarriage often?

I've had tonsillitis this week and had to go on penicillin. I've suffered fever and night sweats for a few nights but on the mend now the meds are kicking in. I'm due on in the next couple of days and have the feeling of a heavy period coming, but I had this with baby #2 as well and the pregnancy was healthy. I've had clear faint positives now for over a week and many positive symptoms. I would just like any advice or support, and hear other's experiences bad or good please.

Penicillin is pregnancy safe, even in early pregnancy. However, any time you run a fever (my dr says 100 & up) you should take Tylenol to lower it due to the effects that a higher body temp can have on a fetus.

thankyou...I suppose the fact I'd let them know earlier in the week and I even got my 12 week scan appt letter through this morning ALREADY lol prob didnt help with my nerves. They were quick blimey. I felt silly letting them know when so early on but I was worried about the effects of the infection and fever.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that feels AF is coming early pregnancy.

I'd not worry. I felt like I had a heavy period coming when I was pregnant at first. It maybe wise to let your dr know you are pregnant now even through it is super early...
