Q: Almos 37 weeks but measuring around 34.

Wondering what experience others have with this and what it could mean because now I'm stressing. Thanks

Thank you guys! It helped ;). I'm just so paranoid because my first has special needs and I already feel inadequate because of that. I just want an uneventful perfect pregnancy as I'm sure we all do. My hubby keeps telling me not to worry because it won't help (wish I could listen better!). Thanks again for the replies.

I was measuring small with my son. He was born 4lbs 15oz at 39wks gestation. The only complication that came from it was he had problems maintaining his blood sugar because of his lack of body fat. They fortified my breast milk to increase his calories. I quit doing that when I got home and he grew just fine. He gained over half a pound week. Just be prepared and have smaller sized clothes and diapers just in case. My son wore premie stuff at first. Babies can be small but come out healthy. I was 4lbs at birth and went home the next day like normal. Try to stay positive.

I'm sorry to hear that has happened to you and that you're worried. When I was 33 weeks, I measured 31. I was sent to a Maternal/Fetal Specialist who put me through non-stress tests, a few stress tests, and scans and measuring almost every other day. My baby continued to grow, but never caught up to where she was expected to be. On the day I turned 37 weeks, the specialists and my OB decided that it was time I delivered. My daughter was born 3 weeks early at 4 lbs, 14 oz and perfectly healthy! She didn't even have to spend time in NICU. All of that to say, please don't worry. Continue to have faith, talk to your little one and let him/her know that everything is okay and you will see him or her soon. Best of luck to you!

Yes he has put in a request but they haven't called me yet. I just have assumed baby hasn't dropped because I still feel him on both sides of my stomach (sideways) and it will feel/see like to large bumps from side to side when he stretches. I didn't want to stress, but of course I am. Last week they did a stress test and the baby's heartbeat dropped a couple of times past coverline to like 111, and when I was measured last week I noticed the doctor measure me again but not say anything and now of course this week. I hate that I have to wait for an u/s.

It could mean the baby has dropped. There was another mom on here recently that was in a similar situation and that was what happened with her. Did your Dr schedule an u/s?
