Oh no..I'm built the same way 5'3 and 105lbs pre pregnancy ..and I can tell you 2kids down...that when the baby drops you will feel it in your pelvic area..it puts pressure on your cervix. Your baby may not drop tell after your contractions though...at that point you wont be able to tell due to the pain of everything else.

I am 5'2 and 40 weeks today and my baby is STILL hanging out in my rib cage. Nothing you can really do about it. I find I sit up straight in a supportive chair I feel much better and lift my arms over my head every so often. I have not been able to feel if the baby dropped but my OB said she's way down in my pelvis, just can't feel it cuz I'm so short :)

Uh... I really don't know the answer to this. Lots of people noticed that the belly was lower but dd and ds were still able to use my ribs as foot rest. I'm 5'3" so my torso is pretty short and both my babes were long.

I am not super tall but 5'5 and the doc told me when you can breathe easier and you dont feel her in your ribs you usually have dropped. Take pics of your belly every week and you will see the difference
