Q: cervix very soft and flat

Normally my cervix has been pointed and a little firm. I've a had a few stabbing pains in that area that stopped. I wasn't sure if I was feeling bleeding or thick cm that I've been getting lately. So I checked and my cervix is very flat and soft. I had a quick stabbing pain when I went into labour with my daughter. I dilated quite fast and it hurt a lot, can't remember what dr had said about effacement in the check up before going into labour. These stabbing pains feel kinda like it

Most Drs look for soft and open I believe.
If you truly believe you are going into labour then please contact your dr as 24wks is too early for baby not to spend 2 months in a neonatal ward as a best case scenario.
They have ways to stop the labour so baby can finish growing and not face the risks of being born too early.
