Q: How many c sections is safe!!!!!

I'm due to have my little girl in two weeks by planned c section. This will be my 3rd section and the doctor asked me if I was wanting any more children and I said I'm not sure yet, as im not 100% positive. He was trying to get me to agree for them to sterilise me while I'm having my section cause he said 4th time can be dangerous!

I've heard alit of people having maybe 4 or more by c section and was wondering if anybody has had more by c section and been ok.

And how long did you wait before becoming pregnant again after a c section as I'm not getting any younger and if I do decide on another I really don't have time to waste.

Absolutely no way do it.I have 4 kids last r twins all born by c section.my consultant was really forceful bout me having my tubes tied which I considered. Now 11 month on I'm so happy I chose not to as we r going for number 5, and the my hubby can get his tubes tied.it causes early menopause in woman so no thanks...I've done enough for our family so now he van return the favor.

My babies are less than a year apart. Both were delivered by c section, and the doctor said I could probably have another 2 if I wanted. He doesn't recommend more than 4 c sections though, so if I wanted more kids than that we should try for a vbac. I'm not sure that i WANT any more kids lol, and definatly not quite yet, but it is nice knowing I could. We checked with him at my 6 week post birth appointment with the first to get his ok for getting pregnant with the second and he said it was fine as long as I feel ok with it. I healed up really well both times. So judge by your previous surgeries and recoveries maybe? :)

My friend has had 4 of them and is pregnant again and will be having a 5th c-section in Feb. 2015. Her babies are 1.5-2 years apart. I'm sure this is her last baby. It's really up to you and if your doctor thinks your body can handle it.

I have not had any C-sections, however my mom had 4 of them in the 80s and was just fine. She was 30 when she had my older sister and we are all about a 1 3/4 years apart. Hope this makes you feel better, but I would do a lot of research and talk with doctors. Good Luck!
