Q: Woman who's had planned c-section dates

I find out this Wednesday coming what date I will be having my C-section for this pregnancy.
I know they don't want to set a date before week 39 but I'm constantly wondering just how close they will let the date be to my due date.
this will be my 3rd section and when i had my 2nd they was going from 38 wks.
How close was your date for the section to your due dates.

Totally understand that, i have the same worry niw with it only 2 days before and this baby boy has been a naughty one making this pregnancy so different from the start along the 20wk scan was difficult cause he was upside down and they pushed hard to look at him.
Haha we just have to hope we done. Fingers crossed

I just got my scheduled date yesterday, which is 39+3 = December 22nd (totally sucks, I wont come home until Christmas day)...my youngest was scheduled 38 weeks, but now they won't schedule a day before 39 weeks anymore. I could have been scheduled on Dec 20th, but the hospital doesn't do elective surgeries on weekends. I am so scared that I might go into labor on my own (this will be my 4th c-section, 1st after a tummy tuck) and I am sooooo paranoid of going into labor early with chance of rupture and bleeding out...ultra paranoid, but I don't want that to happen! LOL

I have my date janunary 2nd 2015 which is 39+5.
They had the problem of the bank holiday and as i had to be booked for 2 days before for blood work etc which they booked 31 dec because they was all booked up for the the days before then it would seem so i've got both dates i though i might get but for different things.

I'm up in WI and my hospital WILL NOT plan a C-Section until 39+0. And generally my doctor likes to go as close to that as possible, so that I don't go into labor, because having contractions and then a C-Sec puts more stress on my body and the baby. So he tries to just avoid that all together. Although when we talked, he said it's more for the hospital's insurance issues that they wait til 39+0. He personally didn't see a problem with going a few days earlier.

I have just scheduled my fourth c-section for 39+1. My doctor's office will not schedule even one day before 39+0. Each time they have allowed me to pick from 39+0, 39+1, or 39+2. I've never been given an option to schedule any later; in my case, they do not want me going into labor on my own.

I was told at my 12 week scan that they won't do the c-section till 39 weeks now.
And the only reason i didn't get a date there and then was because they didn't have next years calender.
My 39 th week falls on dec 28th.
I should of added I'm in England and my last section was 4 years ago in 2010.
I've felt the whole time i may very likely end up with the 30th or 31st dec.

My doc told me they preferred to schedule it between 38 and 39+3 weeks, but didn't really like to go past 39+0. I had mine on 39+0, but that had more to do with the doctor scheduled on that day than the timing really.
