Q: Anyone else have water break early? (pprom)

With my first son my water broke at 36 weeks. It was a slow leak and was unexplained my doctor never knew why. I am currently 22 weeks pregnant with my second boy and very concerned about this happening again. My doctor says not to worry but I can't help it from most of what I've read, you're at higher risk for pprom if you've had a previous pregnancy with pprom... Anyone else have their water break early with their first pregnancy?

My water broke at 37+2 On its own with my 3rd. Up until that point, I hadn't experienced it outside of a hospital. Once it beoke, I had no contractions and had to finish up by being induced with Pitocin. I never believed 4 pregnancies could be different for the same mom until now. Try not to worry. :-)

I have actually never had my water break on its own at all and i'm expecting my 3rd baby. But 36 weeks isn't early by too much... if i'm not mistaken 37 is pretty much full term. I don't think you have anything to worry about, especially if your doctor doesn't see a reason to be concerned.
