Q: Any issues at 13 wks with brown mucus.

I had lots of cramps yesterday and today woke up to brown mucus and a brown small clot. Anyone have this issue with twins & have everything work out?

Thanks. I did call the on call doctor & she said that the bleeding is probably from the cramping & to rest over the next couple of days & drink lots of fluids. If the cramps get worse I am going to take a trip to the er tomorrow for piece of mind. I have an appointment scheduled with my doctor Monday, so I am hoping the cramps subside, the bleeding goes away & I'll see my healthy babies in an ultrasound on Monday. Thanks for the warm thoughts

My only offer for advice is that brown is old blood- that is reassuring. It could be from the placenta implanting and it's just now making it's way out. I think I would still be checked out, maybe call your on call doc and see if they recommend a trip to the ER. I agree that Monday will feel like forever. Best of luck friend and keep us posted!!
