(my 1st also) I was induced 2 days before my due date, 2cm dilated.. everything went smooth and easy, I was told inducing can cause labor to slow. I went in around 2pm, got Cervidil put in to soften my cervix around 5pm.. Was going to be receiving the Pitocin the next morning but ended up going into labor that night, and had my baby girl by 3:56am. I didn't get my epidural until 7CM tried to hold out as long as I could to not slow labor.... Good luck to you! Hope you have an easy and quick labor! :D

I was 100% effaced, but not dilated at all, so the prep the night before didn't work; they had to just put the PIT on super high. I had really bad back labor, but it was more due to her position than anything.

I got epidural at 4CM because they increased my pitocin to a very high level - due to my amniotic fluid being almost completely black from meconium. I had 7 hours to get her out or they were going to do a C-Section. Did it in 6! :)

With my first, I was induced and it took forever.. But, I was only dilated 1/2 CM when I went in. Hopefully it will be fast for you since you are already dilated pretty good. Best Wishes! :)

I've been induced twice, with my first, I was very slow to progress, like over 24hrs kinda slow :( Eventually they broke my water and things moved along a bit faster but still at a snail's pace. From start to finish, it was about 34hrs, but DS was born healthy and screaming. For my second, the labour was only 5hrs with zero change in my cervix, DD's HR didnt tolerate the induction so I was pulled into the OR and c-sectioned. Had she done better with the contractions, it prob would've been another day of labour. I don't blame the drugs for that, that's all on my body being stubborn.
I do recommend u take the epi when offered. There's no set speed on how fast things will progress and my one big mistake was labouring for 30hrs before accepting drugs. I was exhausted before I even started pushing...which ended in many stitches and forcep assistance to get him out. Rest up, u will need it!
Best of luck! Can't wait to see pics! =))
