Q: Symptoms labor is close?

Baby has been measuring about 2 weeks ahead at every ultrasound. Baby dropped at about 33 1/2 weeks. I'm now 35 weeks. For last few days it feels like my joints/hips are separating. Have had increase in braxton hicks/cramping. Baby had been pushing down hard in the evenings causing shooting pain in pelvis and vagina and back pain. Constantly have a lot of pressure in pelvis. Baby has also been having hiccups a couple times a day as well. Anyone else felt like this before labor? My OB is going to induce at 39 weeks (if I make it that far) due to size of baby.

Sounds a lot like the end of my last pregnancy. She was born 38w6d and I was having contractions the whole last week. Not just BH, the real deal. I just wasn't dilating enough for them to keep me in the hospital lol.

Everything sounds normal at this stage. Lungs are still maturing hopefully baby stays put for a few more weeks to keep developing so you have a healthy baby. Good luck. PS my baby had the hiccups 4x a day from 28 weeks onwards. Now she's 7 weeks and still has them 2x a day. It's also common for them to drop. My baby had dropped I was 3cm dialated and lost my plug at 38 weeks and still had to be induced and it was my second baby. So everything your've decribed doesn't necessarily mean labour will come early :-)
