Q: How to know when to call my dr

On Saturday, I pushed myself far to hard and had 3 contractions. Sunday I had 2 and Monday and Tuesday both had 1. As of yesterday I am officially 30 weeks, but he is measuring 16 days ahead. Today I woke up with cramps that feel like menstrual cramps and I just feel blah. I feel exhausted and achy and these menstrual cramps are feeling a little more painful as the day goes on. I feel like I call and bug my Drs office a lot and i don't want to be "that" person. When should I call them? I have an appt on Monday, but I need to know at which point enough is enough and to actually call them.

If your having pain mostly under your belly then most likely they're BH contractions. If your whole belly gets tightened up then those are real contractions.

You may not want to be "that" person, but that is what you are paying them for. If you ever have any concrens with your pregnancy it is best to be safe rather than sorry. I have had the menstrual cramps for weeks now on and off. You could be dilating some. I have been dilated to a 3 for 4 weeks now and I am 38+4. My Dr. just said that if they become regular and last an hour to go to labor and delivery. Mine will be regular for up to an hr and then just die.. It is frustrating.. Anyway, if you are concerned just call them. I am sure some women call multiple times a day for less.

The cramps are steady. Just like if I were on my period. They have not come and gone, they are just getting a little more painful as time goes on.

If the pains are getting worse and closer together and nothing helps (like resting, walking, drinking water) I'd definitely call them. Better to be safe! Hope you are feeling better soon
