Q: How to monitor baby

Hi,
I am 10 w 2d pregnant. Had my first scan 2w before and doc said it is normal. Few days after that my husband hit me in stomach unknowingly while sleeping. I had a pain there for 2 to 3 minutes and it went away. How I can ensure everything is gng normal. My vomitting got stopped and not immediately after that may be 4 days after that. I feel pain in my stomach when I touch or walk same like how it was before. Didn't get any bleeding. Any symptoms to know my baby is all fine. I have nearly 3 weeks for my next scan.

Getting a doppler depends entirely on your temperament. If you're naturally rather paranoid, I'd skip it. It takes some serious effort to learn how to find the baby and differentiate between your heartbeat and that babies. There will be plenty of times you won't be able to find the heartbeat and if that idea sends you into a panic, you're better off without. If, however, you're pretty calm, go for it.

Be sure you get a probe of at least 3 mH in strength or you won't be able to pick anything up until you're much further along. I was about 12 weeks when I got mine and, I've got to say, it provided amazing peace of mind for me. I went with the Sonoline B and have no complaints. There are lots of videos on You Tube that demonstrate how to use them and how to differentiate between your pulse, the placenta, and the actual baby. Just be prepared to have difficulty finding a heartbeat at times when the baby is so small.

I agree, grab a doppler. Once u get the hang of it and are able to find the HB, they offer so much relief!!
How soon u find it depends on ur size, placement of baby and placenta, the probe used makes a big diff too. I heard my daughter's HB in the middle of week 8 and this one (officially, w/o static) at 7w5d. It's different for everyone, but it's def worth a try.

Baby is pretty well protected not to mention very low still. I had my toddler jump on the top of my uterus when I was in my second trimester and she landed with both feet I was bruised for days but baby was just fine. If you start bleeding or cramping then it'd be an issue.
