18 Weeks!!
By Summer0120 » Posted Aug. 19, 2015 8:58am - 220 views - 7 comments

So happy to be here at 18 weeks. It's not considered a milestone, but for some reason it feels like it should be. I have my second cervical measurement this Friday. Can't wait! Praying it has stayed fairly long. I'm starting to think this baby hates me. As if shots in my belly every morning on top of pregnancy isn't enough to deal with, I got gall stones and surgery added on. Already being high risk so I have enough concerns, but now I'm having issues with constipation and very painful BM's (tmi). Thinking it might have even given me roids today. :( I just can't catch a break. It will all be worth it, though! Got a couple more purchases made for the baby. Just small stuff like the crib mattress and pad. I've been planning the shower with my best friend even though it's not til October. I like to plan way ahead! I ordered a dress yesterday for maternity pics we are doing later on down the road. Pretty excited about that :)

18 weeks can be a milestone, it's beginning of fifth month yay! I too felt like my baby hated me, I have awful constipation too very painful. Haven't found anything that works really. One step closer and i hope everything goes well for you this week.

I don't know yet. I have to go to the surgeon's office next Wednesday to have a consultation. I'm assuming they will give me a surgery date then. Hopefully sooner than later. Just want to get it over with!

MalPal- The only problem with the gummies is that they don't have all the same stuff in them as the other ones. So I'm going to try to take in more fiber and maybe drink apple juice daily to see if that helps before I switch prenatals. I'm trying to get addresses for the invitations and people just don't understand traditional invitations that come in the mail anymore. LOL!

pbc- I agree! I get so excited every Wednesday when I hit that new week milestone! It's exciting and a relief to have made it.

Pregnancy brings a whole new level of unfortunate body issues. There is nothing quite like crying because you're unable to go to the bathroom! I think every week feels like a milestone really. I celebrate in my head each week when I hit a new week. One step closer....

Congrats on 18 weeks! Sorry you're going through everything but like you said, it's all worth it. My first pregnancy (miscarriage) I used regular prenatals and was REALLY constipated. My Doctor told me to switch to the gummy ones for this pregnancy and I have not been constipated at all so just a suggestion. Glad you got the mattress and pads as well. I can't believe how much a freakin' baby mattress is. Unbelievable. We're doing my shower at the end of October as well and I've began counting heads but that's about it. Excited to see some maternity pics!
