The Anatomy Scan went very well. Mathew was moving a lot which was nice to see (and feel!). He is measuring exactly where he should. The doc came in (not my doc though because he was called into the hospital :-( . This Doc's name is Joaquin... Just like Hurricane that is coming up the East Coast and we made a joke that he is here to give GOOD News not devastating news! He went over everything with me in detail and I brought up the question of , "when do we usually see if there is an issue with calcifying placenta?" since that is the issue last time. And He went into saying that if there was at all an issue with the placenta and that issue, they usually start seeing signs of it now. He then went over the placenta again to double check and show me the amount of amniotic fluid, everything is showing normal. He guaranteed that at my next appt at 28 weeks, they will continue to keep an eye on the progression and make sure Mathew is growing proportionately. What a FUCKING RELIEF. I was mildly hyperventilating waiting for the tech in the waiting office in the beginning of this morning.... Mathew kicked me a couple of times to let me know to "chill out!" My poor husband did anything he could to make me laugh. PTSD is very unpredictable... and I was trying to remain calm during the wait. Huge sigh of relief when I got to speak with the doctor after the long scan session. My lil guy is doing great!
