Double stroller shopping... Finally starting to feel real!
By stephc2010 » Posted Feb. 5, 2016 8:52pm - 420 views - 9 comments

Two things I realized yesterday:

1: In roughly 3 short months, we'll REALLY be a family of 4! As if feeling this little girl wiggling in my belly all day wasn't proof enough, lol!

And...

2: Double strollers are SO expensive! :(

After testing out a few, we have our hearts set on one of the most expensive ones available in store... A City Mini Select. It can be a single, double or even TRIPLE if you buy the glider board for a toddler to stand on (we plan to try for a boy roughly 2 years after this little girl arrives)! We LOVED it! The $550 price tag, not so much... And that's without the $60 car seat adapter, the $40 for 2 snack trays and $80 if we want the glider board for later... Not to mention these don't even come with a stupid cup holder for parents, so you have to buy that, too! I love my City Mini single jogger that we got on clearance (store model) last July. Yes, 1 month before I found out I was pregnant! (And I even asked him when we were going to plan to add another to the family, and we agreed on at least another year or so, but got this surprise in August, lol!) But WHY do they make you spend even MORE money for something that comes standard on almost every other stroller, lol. For the record, we didn't buy any accessories for the jogger stroller, no belly bar/snack tray (just use the 5 point harness) and pushed with one hand while holding a drink, lol! At least my husband has admitted that he'd rather spend more on a good quality stroller, than buy one that we don't absolutely love. So hopefully, we can pull it off. It's available on Amazon with the 2nd seat attachments already, and we have a few Amazon gift cards that we've received for gits over the past year or two, so hopefully that will help lessen the blow to our bank account! Hopefully he doesn't change his mind on this stroller at the last minute. I really loved it! Haha.

Pram shopping does make it all sink in!!! You are lucky with the $500 price tag (relatively speaking) they cost nearly $1000 here. I'm.getting the steelcraft one which is a bit more in my prive range here :). It sucks they don't all have standard drink holders. Coffee is an absolute necessity!! Good luck with the rest of your shopping.
