Brought my husband to my 36 week appointment this morning because I thought it was time to ask labor questions. I'm glad I did because we got some surprising news and he feels much more reassured hearing all the things I've been telling him from the doctor herself. Our surprising news was that I'm 2cm dilated and 70% effaced. I know I can stay this way for weeks, but I was surprised. I haven't noticed many BH or contractions and baby only turned head down a week and a half ago. Most of the women in my family go 41+ weeks, so that along with feeling nothing, I was expecting her to tell me I hadn't had much or any progression. Hubby was excited, but I told him it will probably still be a bit.
She ordered a growth ultrasound because my husband is 6'10 and she's worried about his size. He's very stubbornly staying sunny side up, so she wants to make sure his head isn't too big lol. At my last ultrasound at 24 weeks, he was in the 48th percentile, so who knows where he'll be now. We have a very busy weekend planned to get everything wrapped up, and I'm going to try some exercises to get him to turn around, so we'll see if I make more progress by next week. Excited to meet my little man, but not till he's ready!

Comment from FlamingoGirl13 » Posted Jun. 22, 2018 6:23pm My twin sister had success using Spinning Babies to turn her OP (sunny-side) girl around. She did them while in active labor but I think they will help you now too. Good luck! |
