I feel worse coming out with all of the questions I have now than I did going into the ultrasound. It was an all around bad experience. I thought I was supposed to go to my usual ultrasound office as when the nurse called A few weeks ago she just said my ultrasound was scheduled for the 18th at 11:15. She never said oh by the way, we're sending you to the high risk ultrasound office which is in another building. So I had to find that place but luckily I wasn't late. Then they said the kids couldn't go in with me which meant my husband, who took today off to see our baby, had to wait in the waiting room. The other office allows kids, so I didn't know this was going to be an issue. So I was going to record a video for him & thought they would understand, but the lady (who was awful) yelled... Actually YELLED at me to shut my phone off right now. Then throughout the whole appointment made comments like " Did you know you were measuring THIS far behind?? Your baby's head is measuring really far behind. Guess you'll have to wait to hear from the doctor about that." I felt like she wanted me to worry. She kept making those comments all thoroughout and then if I asked what that might mean she was like, "can't tell you." she was so rude.

I think it said the babies head measured 24 wks and some days, and I'm at 25. Has this happened to any of you with a good outcome? Mind you, I went to this appointment because they said they didn't receive pics of the SPINE last time.

Oh that's unacceptable! I would have left, or asked her to stop and get someone else. This is a baby, not a pain in her a$$. All babies measure differently. Some measure bigger than others. A doctor should have came in to discuss any findings with you, after the initial scan. I'd also complain to your OB office about the unprofessional experience you had at the high risk office. Being a high risk office, that tech should have been quiet if she was concerned on anything, as she's NOT a doctor and she's UNABLE to make any determinations from the scans. What a b!@ch! I don't care who you are, NO one deserves to be spoken to or yelled at like that. I am very sorry you had a bad experience. I'd definitely call your doctor and talk about your concerns about the baby's measurements.

I would definitely make a complaint and call the person in charge. It wouldn't have happened with me. I'm too much of a B****........ I would have walked outg the door. Arggggghhhh... I hate when people think they can treat people like that. Hmmmm no, my insurance is paying for this ultrasound and I'm going to record for my husband.

What did the rest of the baby measure? Is the head small compared to the body or is the baby measuring small in general? The doctor should have discussed what all this could mean after your ultrasound. My doctors were much more gentle but my son measured unusually small. He was 4lbs at 39wks pregnant. I had a few complications but he is fine. They were just very cautious and checked EVERYTHING. He stayed in the NICU for 10 days being monitored and to run tests.
