Slowest induction!

Things moved so quick with Max, I really hoped that the 'second baby comes faster' bit of old wives wisdom would be true for me. I knew it wasn't probable since I went into spontaneous labor with him and am being induced with her, but this stinks.

Got here at 3pm, had the first dose of cytotec placed at 4 pm, already 1cm and 50% effaced. 4 hours later, no change at all so they place another dose. Contractions got very regular after that, literally on top of each other and super painful. Checked at midnight and had progressed to 2.5cm and 70%, got some IV painkillers to help me sleep. Dozed in and out for about 40 minutes out of the next 2 hours, but the numorphan made me sweaty, so didn't sleep well. Started pitocin at 2:30, it's been an hour and the contractions are starting to get painful again but still manageable without an epidural. Thinking I may need that soon but really hoping to have progressed a little further first :/

I just want to meet my little girl already, and get home to Max! I can't stop thinking about him, I miss him so much already!

Take the epi and get some rest. Don't let urself get exhausted over a centimeter, it may come back to bite u later on...esp if things pick up speed.
Best of luck! Watching for ur announcement!! =))

Have you tried the tub at all? Can you? I was stalled for a long time and the tub helped me relax enough (I think) to make a little more progress. Just an idea... inductions suck!! I am so sorry you had to get induced. I was very much hoping you'd go into labor again on your own.

Still at 3cm and 70%. Pokey baby is taking her own sweet time, that's for sure! Managed to get in a couple 40 minute naps, but having bad back labor. I really want to get to a 4 before asking for an epi but not sure if I can hold out if things stay stalled :(
