I can't believe how fast the time flies, it feels like just yesterday I was walking into the hospital to have her and here we are!
Nina is such a joy, she's a really calm and engaged baby (who does not like to sleep). She hardly ever fusses except when she's gassy, and watches the world with a total sense of wonder that melts my heart! After a difficult start to nursing and losing 8% of her weight in the first week, we finally figured everything out together and she's up to 8lbs,7oz! Still such a peanut, but finally big enough to wear her cloth diapers... love me some fluffy bum!
Max loves her so much, he was really angry and agressive with me for the first couple weeks after she came home, but he has never once been anything but gentle and sweet with her. If she cries he drops whatever he's doing to run to her side with a pacifier or a blanket and a kiss! He *can* say Nina (sounds more like 'mnana') but refuses, instead referring to her exclusively as "the girl," which is basically hysterical. Just finished up my first week solo with the kids after my sister and nephew went home to OK and Charlie returned to work and things went surprisingly well; I really only wanted to lose it and throw in the towel 1 out of 5 days, I'm thinking those are pretty decent odds!
I can't believe how much love my heart can hold. I'm more tired than ever but wouldn't change a thing, these kiddos are my whole world!

Comment from pbc910 » Posted Feb. 29, 2016 9:25am It's so crazy how fast time goes! I thought twins was hard but I bet it's much tougher with a newborn and toddler. She is a cutie for sure! | |
