Nina was 2 months on Easter, but we were a little late taking her picture this month due to being admitted to the hospital on Sunday. What a horrible week that was, we ended up staying 4 nights in the hospital, finally being discharged late Thursday night. We'd hoped to leave earlier in the day as Nina had been doing well off oxygen and IV fluids all day, but just as we were planning to leave at 2 she spiked a high fever again... Raging ear infection on top of everything else. So happy that it was something treatable though, came home with antibiotics and by Sunday she was very much back to herself, even graving us with a few adorable smiles at her baptism on 4/3. She wore my baptismal gown, which was made out of the underskirt of my grandmother's wedding dress (the grandma that Nina is named after). My mom used the overskirt in her wedding dress, and I had it taken off and sewn into my wedding dress as well, so it was very special to me that Nina was able to wear something so deeply sentimental for me!
Max has stopped calling Nina 'the girl' and now calls her mostly 'baby' or 'Nini.' He loves to help hold her and fiercely scolds anyone who makes noise when she's sleeping... Nothing funnier than an overprotective toddler!
It's been a doozy of a month and definitely one is prefer to not ever repeat. I'm so grateful that Nina is healthy and happy once again, I can't believe she's already so big!!
