Wednesday 10/02/13 - 18 Weeks 2 Days

I totally felt baby give 2 big kicks today!! It was when I first got to work this morning - I was sitting at my desk working and I felt some movement. Well then my co-worker Sharon came in to chat. So I stopped what I was doing and leaned back and kind of slouched and put my hand over my belly since I was feeling movement I was hoping I would feel something on the outside. Well boy did I ever!! Baby gave two HUGE kicks and I most definitely felt it on the outside!! Baby gave one more that I felt on the outside after that but since then has been not moving so I can feel him/her today. Its the most amazing yet weird feeling I've ever felt. It does feel a lot like gas but its definitely not. Its too big and sharp of a movement. I wish he/she would move all the time. I love feeling him/her so much!!
I am on the way to my OB appointment now. I need to ask about getting a flu shot and the other thing I want to ask about is how much hair I am losing. I seem to be shedding a ton. I also can't wait to tell her I feel the little one! She said you usually will start to feel something between 18-22 weeks and I thought that because of my tipped uterus and anterior placenta I'd have to wait until 22 weeks for sure. Eeee! I'm so excited.
I called my mom on the way home yesterday and told her all the stuff I am overwhelmed about - mostly the house :( I cried.. She is going to come over Friday since I have the day off and we are going to start cleaning things out! It will be really hard for me to part with a lot of the stuff since I am such a pack rat but it needs to happen! I am excited but I am also loathing it!!
I also talked to Jeff some last night and today he told me he started reading in the baby books so that makes me happy :) I need to get us signed up for the baby class. We are going to take a 6 week class - hopefully we'll meet some friends ;)
I can't wait to hear baby's heartbeat. Only 1 hour 40 minutes remaining!!
