My Journal

I have been behind on my journal all week and fretting about it. So I've made the decision to let the last couple of days go and pick up brand new today.

This week has been crazy busy! Ever since we've found out we are having a perfect little girl it seems my life has been spinning. I've received so many emails and facebook messages from friends and family I still haven't been able to return all of them. It has been so much fun seeing all of the 'likes' and comments on my facebook post reveal photo - its the same photo I posted to my joural on Monday.

Work has been crazy too. I am being proposed on a project and because of that I had a meeting at the main office today so had a short day to do what I need to do and will have another short day Monday since we have a job walk with the client on Monday. Ugh! Exhausting. I also found out I was proposed on another project too which is awesome. I am the only one (other than my boss) on my current project that is being proposed on other projects.

We had an OB appointment on Wednesday. Everything was perfect. Her heartrate was right at 155 and my uterus measured 21cm which correlates to her size per the u/s. I did gain 2 lbs over the last two weeks which was a bummer to find out since I'd only gained 1lbs over the previous 2 weeks. And I haven't been 'good' since my appointment either. I've been craving chocolate like nobody's business!

I was shocked today. When I got to the jobsite after my meeting there was a giant gift bag on my chair. The bag is purple and pink and says, 'Its a Girl!'. In it was a pack of diapers and 5 little girl outfits. They are soooooo amazingly cute. I of course got teary-eyed! It turns out the gift is from my Iron Worker Foreman and his wife. I know my foreman fairly well but I never in a million years expected to get a gift from him. When I saw him later I gave him a huge hug and thanked him as my eyes welled up with tears. I was so touched. He really re-upped my faith in man kind. It was beyond sweet for him and his wife to do that for me. I've never even met his wife. The kindess overhwelms me. I have these adorable diaper shaped thank you notes and I can't wait to write them one. Jeff thinks I should make them cookies or something :)

Baby girl is kicking up a storm right now!! I've been calling her MaherLee (Marlee). Its a perfect name because its my Maiden name and middle name combined. Jeff doesn't like it though so we'll see..
