New Mom worries...
By mrsamanda » Posted Dec. 3, 2013 10:46am - 463 views - 9 comments

This may be the dumbest thing ever, but I've been thinking about all my symptoms and looking at everyone else's symptoms. I'm scared that the baby is not growing like she should because I am not really experiencing frequent urination. Am I just freaking myself out for no reason? I mean, I know the baby is only about the size of a blueberry right now, which is still so very small. But, I'm just worried.

Thanks everyone. I'm still going to worry until we see the doctor. We go next Friday. So almost one week left to wait! Ugh! I printed out my "new patient forms" today and went ahead and filled them out. I'm so impatient. God help this child. Lol! I'm not due until the end of July and I'll probably be wanting to pop him/her out in March! Ha! Gonna bake him/her as long as I possibly can though. We want a FULLY COOKED babe. :)

It's so tempting to get one of the girls at work to scan me just for peace of mind, but I want my hubby to be with me on our first few scans. It'll be so much more special to finally see our baby and hear her heartbeat together. Not much longer.

Awww Amanda, I know what you are going through, try not to stress over symptoms (even though I am the pot calling the kettle black, I use Dr. Google every day). I think your symptoms are pretty normal for where you are at, I have pretty much the same ones and if I don't drink a ton of water I don't pee that much either. When is your U/S? I think the symptoms are different from person to person, keep a little countdown to your U/S on your phone, each day you will be one day closer to your Dr visit! :)

I didn't have to pee any more than normal until my second trimester started (though after the constant checking of ttc, my normal was admittedly elevated!), and it really hasn't been until the last month or 2 that it's really started disrupting scheduled things like sleep! I know it's impossible not to worry, so I won't say not to, but know that everything is very, most definitely likely, a-ok in there!

I've been tracking your symptoms all along We are due the same day and I've had the exact same symptoms as you. At least up until a few days ago. I already had my u/s and baby is fine. I believe the symptoms will get more prominent as time goes on. For example, yesterday I started experience new bloat. It's bloat like I've never experienced. Also heartburn and nausea. And gas. I keep warning my husband that baby wants to fart. :)

You're fine. Consider yourself lucky for now and just take it one day at a time.

LOL! I am not laughing at you but with you because I know how you feel. But seriously, the only reason I started peeing more right away was because my first and most prominent pregnancy symptom was extreme thirst! I upped my water intake by 200% in those first days because I just couldn't get enough of it. If you want to experience frequent trips to the potty, just drink more water. Baby is totally fine! I had no symptoms (except caffeine withdrawal headaches) with my son. He was a really easy pregnancy all things considered and he is perfect :)

My only symptoms that I can really say I have for sure are: tired/sleepy a lot, mild cramps here and there each day, acne, and sore boobies that aren't too horrendous, but are definitely tender.

I guess I'm just worried because I have yet to see a doctor since I found out I'm pregnant and I'm just anxious to get in to see him. Still have a week and a half to go. And then, my darn appointment is on FRIDAY the 13th of all days! Jeez!

Dr. Google is the worst thing to look at! I'll put my hand up and say I'm guilty of consulting with him too at times, but Emma is right!
Everyone is so different. Sometimes the more noticable symptoms don't kick in till after 7-8 or even 9 weeks!
And I know that a definite symptom is cancelled out if you feel like you're not experiencing something else.
Hell, I didn't start my gagging (not to the point of actual MS) till week 12 - and it kindly never left me, even now....

Best thing to do is relax, and try not to symptom spot. I believe every week brings something new, so try to focus on that one new, or reoccuring, or "came-back-for the-sequel" symptom each week out of interest, not panic.

I'll start! This week: New - stuffy nose that bleeds. WTF! haha.

Try not to worry xox

Try not to stress yourself out. I know it's easier said than done, lol. I have worries too about my peanut not growing like it should too. I do have the frequent peeing but I don't have much nausea, maybe I'm lucky or it just hasn't hit yet, who knows. I have experienced 2 losses already and don't think I can take another one. My doctor just keeps telling me to relax and enjoy this, try not to stress myself out.
