How far along? 29 weeks 3 days

Total weight gain: 4 pounds total. Doctor gave me a fist bump for it! Lol!

Maternity clothes? Some. Mostly just work scrubs and stretchy pants and t-shirts at home.

Stretch marks? Yep.

Sleep: Mostly tossing and turning from left to ride sides. Sometimes I'll side/belly sleep as long as it feels comfortable and not like I'm laying on a huge ball of blanket.

Best moment this week: Going to the dr and seeing our girl on the screen again, even if it was to check to make sure she wasn't measuring too big (bc apparently I am). Getting praise for only gaining 4 pounds, despite not even trying to not gain much. :P

Movement: Yep. Waiting for those crazy belly morphs to start. Lol

Food cravings: I eat popsicles like they are going out of style. And anything else that sounds good at the time. But, I'm like that being non-pregnant, so I don't know if that's a craving.

Gender: Girl!

Labor signs: Nope.

Symptoms: Some sciatica, pubic bone aches, some shortness of breath, stress, stretch marks

Belly button in or out? It's still in, but I've noticed it's definitely more shallow that before.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, but very stressed due to our financial situation. Freaking over what we are going to do when I'm off work and we are on one income, as of right now our rent and car payment will take my husband's entire monthly income. So yeah, freaking out.

Despite doctor telling me he doesn't think that I'll be able to have a vaginal birth and that c-section is probably going to be the best way to go because my pelvis is way too narrow, I still am getting all these "c-section is used too much, don't let them just give you a c-section without trying, you don't look like you'd have a narrow pelvis, you should try to have a vaginal before having major surgery, c-section recovery is HORRIBLE, "my c-section recovery was terrible and so painful", you're always gonna have this scar, blah blah blah.

I just feel like if my doctor truly thinks my pelvis is too narrow, then maybe I should just go with it and do a scheduled c-section. He is a very good doctor and I feel like I should trust his judgement, but it's also hard to deal with all the negative from other people. Just shut up and mind your own business. I didn't tell you so you could feed me horror stories. Ugh!

I agree. It just makes sense to choose the safest route for both of us, not necessarily the easiest. But that's the price you pay and I'm okay with that. The recovery won't last a lifetime.

My mother nearly died (and me with her) giving birth and landed up having an emergency c. When my dr said I have a narrow pelvis (same as her) I went for a c. The recovery is not that bad and choosing the safest birth for your baby makes the most sense to me.

Thanks, ladies. It's so irritating that no one can give you any positive feed back when you mention c-section.

A very close girlfriend of mine ended up having a scheduled C-section and was so pleased with the outcome. She showed up, baby Declan was born in 24 minutes and she said the recovery was NOTHING like everyone warned her about. She was so pleased, she plans to go C-section with her future children.

And your tiny bit of weight gain is something to be congratulated! Nice work! :)

I think you're right. I'd trust the doctor on that. And C-section scars aren't that bad either... and on top of that, I know quite a few women who had pretty quick recoveries from it. Don't let people get to you. =)

People like that are so annoying and rude. If you want the safest way to bring your little girl into this world and if it happens to be a c-section than go ahead. I am the same way, whatever it takes I'll do it, it's not just about me anymore, it's about me and my little baby.

Congrats on the weight gain. I've only gained 8 and according to my ultrasound at 35 weeks my little boy is a chubbers weighing approx. 6lbs. 6oz. Thought he would be measuring on the small side. Lol

There is no wrong way to have a baby! If your doctor thinks it's safest, and you trust your doctor, then it's the right decision for you! Screw what other people are saying, they don't have a medical degree and are not giving birth to your child!
Also, I'm giving you a fist bump as well for only 4 pounds! I'm jealous!

DON'T let people scare you out of making the safest choice for you and your baby! Of course, most of us would prefer a vaginal birth, but the reason they do more c-sections now is to prevent emergency situations from happening, not because they don't respect your preferences and desires as a mother.

Congrats on the low weight gain! Unfortunately, I've just hit 19 weeks and 10 pounds, I probably need to start paying closer attention, but vegetables just don't sound as good to me as the usually do!

Happy Mother(to be!)'s Day!!
