30 weeks!

Can't believe it. We are now in the 30's! If all goes well, and we proceed with the scheduled c-section, baby girl will be here in 9 weeks! Gosh, time flies! That also means that my mom will be here in about 8 weeks! I can't wait!

We are still just keeping it to ourselves for the most part about having a scheduled c-section. I don't really want to have to deal with explaining to our family and friends just yet that my vag is too narrow to deliver naturally. Awkward! We will just tell them closer to time that we will be having a scheduled c-section for a number of different reasons, and that's just what the doc thinks is best.

My shower is in 5 weeks and 2 days. I can't wait! I wish my mom was gonna be here for it, but if I had to choose, I would rather her be here for the birth more than anything. Nonetheless, I can't wait for all the baby presents! Clothes, bottles, what-nots, blankets... I'm looking forward to seeing what all monogrammed/personalized items we get! A lot of people we know are doing their own embroidering nowadays. It is the popular thing around here, so I'm sure I'll end up with atleast ONE item with her moniker on it. Lol! I just LOVE the embroidered stuff. It's so cute! Only thing about it is, you can't really 2nd hand it or sell it later. I'll just keep those items as keepsakes.

Ahh, so excited! We are ordering the crib tomorrow or Saturday I think. Can't wait to start setting up the room!

Thats exciting. I love the monogramed stuff as well. To only think in 9 weeks you are going to be a MOMMY!!!

Jellybean, we are probably gonna shoot for the 18th so my husband doesn't have to take off as many days at work. My dr said anytime from 39 weeks and on, I'll be 39+1 that day. How cool, only one day apart! :)

That's another reason why I didn't want to tell our family yet. If they have negative comments it will just piss me off and leave my liable to telling them off. I'm already concerned about telling all the family (except hubby and my mom) that we want atleast an hour or two before everyone comes in to see her or hold her, just for mommy and daddy bonding time. My mom will, of course, step out after baby comes, as long as my dr allows her in the room. He's pretty lenient, and she has used him for many many years also, so we are hoping she can be in the room too. If not, it'll just be me and hubby, but my mom will be the first to come in the room when it's time.

I had a scheduled C-section with my first and also this time for my baby boy.
We are very close.. also 30 weeks with 9 weeks to go (Scheduled date 17 July.. you?)
It's a good idea not to tell too many people about the C-section just yet.. I found many people (even family members) can be overly judgemental and I just don't care.. My body, my (and my baby's.. and my doctor's) reasons and as long as my baby comes into the world safely the rest can go fly! :)

I'm hoping our last 9 weeks will fly by.. Getting a bit uncomfortable now.. you?

All the best! Enjoy setting up the room!!

Having a planned C Section is not a bad thing at all, I have the same issue and trust me if my Dr would have told me with my first daughter that I would end up in Emergency C Section after a days worth of labor I would have picked to just plan it out. It doesn't suck as bad when its planned though, and you still get that glorious baby once your done. Just make sure you get a good binder/corset for after baby is born, it helps SO much with healing, and it helps the incision not be as painful :) I am so happy for you guys!!! If you need any tips or have any questions about surgery let me know!! OHH shoot i changed my number its 714-497-5256 now! XOXO
