One month!

I have been very bad about updating! For some reason I am only able to type a few sentences from my phone and then it cuts me off...grr! Anyway, Delaney was discharged from the Nicu on September 4th. It almost didn't happen but we sorted out her issues and were able to come home! And my God did it feel great to finally have everyone under one roof! Delaney is doing great and doing wonderfully breast feeding. I had been warned that she probably wouldn't be able to nurse right away because she is a preemie but she showed them ...and me. She's a better feeder than her big sis was! Big sis is also doing well and handling the adjustment good. She loves to help change diapers and overall is a good helper!
The only issue Delaney seems to have at the moment is reflux which is normal for a preemie. It seems to have gotten worse though in the last week so I think I am going to contact her doc this week just to see if there's anything he thinks I should do and I also want her weight checked for my sanity. She's filling out her clothes nicely so I am sure she's gaining weight but just want to make sure :)
I am also doing well too! Recovery this time around was far easier than the first time! I definitely was far more emotional this time around (who wouldn't be given the circumstances ?) but I am finally feeling more like my old self again. Still can't believe it has been a month all ready since I had Delaney! Time is really flying this time around.
I am hoping everyone is doing great! Can't wait to see more babies being born in here!

When I think back to my time in the hospital and Delaneys time in the Nicu it seems like a blurry dream and while I was in the midst of it, time to drag! I am sure you can relate! Hope your little peanut is doing well too :) |

So glad ur all together again, I hated staying in the hospital for 2 days with my CS and a teen at home, I can't imagine having to endure what u did, with a small child at home. U did it tho, and it was all worth it in the end. Great job, mama!! =)) |
