First Appointment is Scheduled!

September 24th at 2 PM! 20 WHOLE DAYS AWAY! The wait is going to kill me! I know I have no reason to be seen early, and I am so thankful for having a healthy pregnancy with my daughter. But I am such an impatient person (how I was able to wait until the birth to find out the gender of my daughter is beyond me!). Hopefully with a 1 year old running around the time will go by quickly! I'm pretty sure that I wasn't even seen until sometime during my 8th week when I was pregnant with my daughter, with the first ultrasound done at 9 weeks. I'm sure this appointment will just be health history and blood work, like it was with my daughter. But since I'm still unsure of my dates (my lmp was July 15th, but I know I'm not 7 weeks pregnant!) I was hoping they'd schedule me for an ultrasound right away. Very unlikely that they would do it for my first appointment, but I can hope. :)

Recent symptoms: Headaches, tiredness, slight cramping has come back today after not experiencing much of it yesterday which had me a little worried, sore nipples are making breastfeeding painful, and loss of appetite/nothing sounds good when I'm hungry!

Also, I read that women who are pregnant usually get a positive OPK. So I played with that a little bit earlier and they were BLAZING positive (like stealing color from the control line)! Lol! Had the urge to pee on a stick but want to save my last few pregnancy tests for next week. =P

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

M.Gulud, I have sooo many OPKs from trying for our daughter. Granted, they're past the expiration date, but it gets rid of my urge to use a pregnancy test! I'd just throw the opk's away anyway, so may as well have some fun! Lol. :)

Mine is Sept 21 at 2pm! I hope we all get to see our cute little beans with heartbeats flickering away.
I did the same thing as you when I was pregnant with my son and went to a specific place because we had moved away, but knew we would move back.
I've also been taking some opks as well, just because I have them. The control line is barely there!

So exciting! I chose an afternoon appointment because my husband works night shift and I was hoping he'd be awake to go with me! I chose a hospital an hour away (even though I'm right outside of Baltimore!!). It was the same hospital that delivered my daughter and the midwives are all the same. They were surprised when I called to schedule my appointment and found out I lived an hour away!! Lol. We plan on moving back to my husband's hometown early next year anyway, so it won't be too bad! I'm glad I'm not alone in the long wait for the first appointment!! :)

My first appointment is 9/24 too, but at 9 AM!! They said they will order sonogram that day, but depending on schedule it may be a different day! I'm so impatient too!

My first appointment is September 25th at 7am! During my last pregnancy they did to an ultrasound at the first appt. I'm hoping they'll do it for me too... FX, we should both be able to see heartbeats by then.

I've tried two OPKs and they were STARK white. I have cheapie HPTs that I've been taking daily and I'm still very pregnant, so I was surprised! So interesting how different we all are re: tests.

Good luck with the wait! I'm right there with you on it seeming like forEVER from now...
